Perhaps the most important aspect of successful aging is to eat to succeed.  Overeating leads to obesity, diabetes, and other health issues.  Not eating right also leads to health issues.  To age successfully you have to take charge of what you eat.  Maintaining the correct balance of macronutrients – proteins, carbohydrates, and fats – is essential to good health.  Additionally, eating correctly sized portions is critical to aging successfully.  I work with my clients to ensure that they are monitoring what they eat, when they eat it, and how much they are eating.
